Gel-Foam Flat Cushions have anti-hammock- ing; anti-skid bottoms to eliminate the “sling- seat sag,” while providing a stable base of sup- port. These cushions are excellent for those individuals who are able to propel their wheelchair by foot movement.

Gel-Foam Wedges

Gel-Foam Wedges have anti-hammocking; anti- skid bottoms to eliminate the “sling-seat sag,” while providing a stable base of support. The wedge shape inhibits forward leaning and sacral sitting.

Solid-Insert Flat Cushions with Anti-Skid & Visco

Solid Insert Flat Cushions are for individuals who do not have a potential for sliding and who do not have a history of sliding. Cushions have a minimum thickness of 3 inches of HR polyurethane foam, or a combination of 2 inches HR and one inch of G.I.V.E.

Solid-Insert Wedge with Anti-Skid & Visco

The Solid Insert Wedge helps to inhibit sliding and sacral sitting by placing the patient into a posterior tilt. Because the posterior tilt moves the weight-bearing pressures to the ischials, JDM’s Solid Insert Wedges will have a minimum of three inches of high resiliency (HR) polyurethane foam, or two inches of HR along with one inch of Visco.

Solid-Insert Ischial-Step Wedges

The Solid Insert Ischial Step utilizes the natural curvature of the body to give an anchored support, and uses the posterior tilt of a wedge to prevent sliding. This combination moves the weight bearing pressure to the I.T.’s. Because this pressure is being placed onto the solid-insert bottom, all solid-bottom Ischial Steps will have a minimum of 2 inches of HR Polyurethane foam, as well as 1 inch of Visco at the rear of the cushion to accommodate this I.T. pressure. Due to Visco’s compression capabilities, the additional one inch of Visco adds very little height when sat upon.

Solid-Insert w/coccyx cutout

The Solid Insert Coccyx Cutout is designed for those residents with existing difficulties at the coccyx area, such as decubitus ulcers. As the name implies, the coccyx portion of the cushion is “cut out.” The idea is to eliminate any pressure exerted on the wound and to redistribute the pressure surrounding the wound, promoting faster healing. The entire cushion or wedge is layered with Visco elastic polyurethane to redistribute pressure over the entire surface area; but, in particular, the Visco foam moulds to the shape of the body surrounding the cutout.

Solid-Insert Coccyx Scoops with a Medial Thigh Separator & Visco

The Solid Insert Coccyx Scoop comes with an anti-skid bottom, a coccyx scoop, a contoured two-leg channeled medial thigh separator and a one-inch layer of Visco. The contoured leg channels added to the wedge shape provide a slight abduction and improved alignment of the lower extremities. The coccyx scoop and Visco layering help redistribute pressure on the Coccyx, the I.T.’s and the entire seating area. The wedge shape helps to inhibit sliding. All coccyx scoop cushions are layered with Visco elastic polyurethane to redistribute pressure at key pressure points. These cushions are an excellent preventative device for those residents with slight lower extremity adduction problems, and with recently healed decubs. Please note, If a 3-inch to 2-inch, or a 4-inch to 2-inch coccyx scoop incline is required, please use the anti-hammocking options.

Solid Insert Ischial Coccyx Scoop with a Medial Thigh Separator and Visco for Weights up to 300 lbs

Solid-Back Foot and Calf Supports

Solid-Insert Flexible Pelvic-Obliquity Cushion Sideway’s Wedge

The Pelvic-Obliquity Cushion is used for a flexible obliquity and is designed to build up the low side of the pelvis. To address the pressures associated with positioning correction, JDM’s Pelvic Obliquity Cushions are layered with 1 inch of Visco elastic to assist in pressure redistribution.

Adjustable Swing Away Amputee Support

Adjustable Amputee Supports attach to swing away leg rest posts. The cushioned pad is manufactured with 2 inches of high resiliency (HR) foam and 1 inch of Visco to absorb impact, redistribute pressure and conform to amputated limb. The pad measures 3” x 8” x 10”.

Easy Foot Cradle

The Easy Foot Cradle has contoured leg troughs with heel cut-outs to reduce skin breakdown. It attaches to the swing-away leg rest with a hook that secures it for swingaway and for easier patient transfer.

Adjustable Knee Adductor

The Adjustable Knee Adductor has multiple adjustments to accommodate various sweeping problems. It may be adjusted in, out, up or down. It can be attached to wheelchair leg posts or to swing away leg posts. The pad is 3 inches thick (1-inch HR foam and 2 inches of Visco) to absorb impact and to help prevent skin tears.

Leg Abductor

The Leg Abductor straps around both lower extremities with a soft nylon felt. It works well for patients in a wheelchair or lying in a bed. Leg Abductors are designed to hold hips in abduction, to distribute pressure evenly over thighs and to increase sitting stability. This device can be customized.

Solid Back Foot & Calf Support with Heel Cutouts

The back side is covered in Anti-Skid Fabric to keep the device in place. The Supine Heel Elevator with Wings is designed to comfortably support the lower extremities, suspend (float) the heels and prevent hyper-extension by supporting the knees. The back side is covered in Anti-Skid Fabric to keep the device in place. Both standard versions of the Heel Elevator with Wings have 1 layer of visco elastic memory foam by default covering the area where the legs will lie

4”- 3” Drop-Seat Coccyx Scoop Cushion for Deep Wheelchairs

Drop Seat Ischial Coccyx Scoop with Countoured Medial Thigh Separators and Visco

A convex-shaped bottom of high resiliency (HR) polyurethane to eliminate sling seat sag and provide a stable base of support. Anti-skid bottom. Contoured two-leg channeled medial thigh separators to promote proper leg alignment. Coccyx-Scoops assist in redistributing and off loading sacral and coccyx pressures. A pre-ischial step that utilizes the body’s natural curvature to inhibit sliding and thrusting. A top layer of Gel Infused Visco Elastic Foam (G.I.V.E.) to redistribute pressure, body mold, absorb shock, and provide overall comfort.

Bariatric Drop Seat

Drop Seats are used to lower the height of the resident’s seat so that the health care professional can properly seat the resident without elevating the feet beyond his or her functional capability. This often allows the resident to continue to be mobile. Because JDM’s Drop Seats are adjustable at all four corners, you may tilt the resident, if so needed. This sometimes inhibits the hips from sliding forward. This device is especially useful in conjunction with a Kyphotic-Back Device for those residents with a “C-shaping” forward. JDM manufactures the Drop Seat utilizing a composite material which is strong enough to support the patient, but doesn’t add a lot of weight to the wheelchair. The hooks are made with a high-grade aluminum to prevent rusting and other decomposition. The Drop Seat can be modified to accommodate many different wheelchair sizes. Flip-Down Abductors are available as an accessory.

Kyphotic Back Supports with Back Support Lamination and Lateral Wedges **Measurements are required with order

The Kyphotic Back Supports are always made to be resident specific. Each KYPHOTIC BACK comes with a set of LATERAL WEDGES which velcro on and can be removed or repositioned. These devices are manufactured with an area cut out to accommodate the bony protuberance of the resident’s Kyphotic spine. These devices have a solid insert, cushioned by the layering of various grades of HR and Visco polyurethane foams. These combinations provide support, pressure-redistribution, shockabsorbing, and body-molding properties along the entire affected spinal region. Used in conjunction with a reclined drop seat and the proper seating cushion, the Kypho-Back works well for those individuals who “C” shape forward in a wheelchair.

Solid Bolsters

Solid Bolsters are multi-functional devices. Solid Bolsters are best used under the knees for support when the heels are elevated. They may be used in bed as a neck roll. When placed vertically against the resident’s torso, they may be effective in preventing lateral leaning. When placed horizontally against the thigh, bolsters can assist in properly aligning the hips of the seated resident. All Solid Bolsters are covered with a fluid-proof fabric and are flap-zipper closed to prevent foam from being exposed to body fluids. The foam is a highly resilient polyurethane, expected to maintain its cushioning properties for 8 to 10 years under everyday usage.

Cervical Pillows

Cervical Pillows (Also called neck donut pillows or travel pillows) help the neck and shoulder muscles to relax. They fit the contour of the neck and promote proper neck/head position. They work well in beds, Geri-chairs or extended wheelchair backs.

Half Cylinder Lumbar Roll

The Half Cylinder Lumbar Roll is small bolster intended as an accessory for JDM products with existing loop fastener already in place. This Lumbar Roll is a half-cylinder designed to inhibit poor posture and is effective in maintaining proper lumbar lordosis. The device has hook fastener on the back to fits flat against a back support.

Quarter-Cylinder Lumbar Roll

The Quarter-Cylinder Lumbar Roll is small bolster intended as an accessory for JDM products with existing loop fastener already in place. The Lumbar Roll fits the contour of the lumbar region. The device has hook fastener on the back to fits flat against a back support.

Slip-On Wheelchair Arm and Lateral Body Support

Available in Elevated option! The Wheelchair Arm/Lateral Body Support covers the entire arm rest. It provides some lateral support as well as a padded surface on which the patient may rest his or her arm.

Geri Chair Ischial Step Cushion

Generally, the reason to use a Geri-Chair Ischial Step or wedge is to keep the resident’s hips at the back of the Geri Chair. The Geri-Chair Ischial Step utilizes the natural curvature of the body to give an “Anchor Support.” Ischial Steps inhibit the hips from sliding forward without using any type of groin abductor; therefore, they are not considered a restraint by most survey teams. Ischial Steps are layered with Visco on the back portion for pressure redistribution. These devices have an Anti-Skid bottom to prevent them from sliding, even when in a reclined position.

Abducted Knee Lifts

Allows you to extend the lower extremities, while abducting at the knees. The Knee Lift may be used in bed positioning or in a Geri Chair.

Head Supports for Geri Chairs

The Head Support For Geri Chair can be attached with hook and loop fastener material to JDM’s Geri Chair Torso Supports (800 & 801), which have a soft nylon felt on the head portion of the device.

Flip-Away Lap Tray

Flip-Away Lap Trays are excellent for flaccid arms. They offer some lateral and forward motion support.
